Though it isn't technically the last day of school, it felt so, with people giving out thank you cards and saying goodbyes like they were never going to see each other again. When I said goodbye to Sin Yee I did it without much thought of the day. But it was when she left that i realised, prelims study break is here and very very soon, it is gonna be the end of A levels and the end of school, officially.

The two years in JC felt very surreal. It simply went by me just like that. There are so so so many things im gonna miss about this school - studying and fooling around at the scope during break times, playing bridge in the library, ponning lessons, yu pian mian, mugging at the library, cam whoring, filming crazy antics, honeydew after lunch, cutting people's queues, writing birthday cards and getting presents, teasing Promiscuous wanton and Moosapien, PROJECT WORK, chionging for Bus 12 while others chiong for 87, dreading classes, loving classes, doing stuff for Temasek Challenge, all the teachers including Ms Wong and Mr Chan, playing 黑白配just to see who throws the plastic bag away.. and the list goes on and on. and i'll just keep adding.

Sigh. Emo as I am, it's not unjustifiable. i just love 3106 too damn much!

This is truly something worth blogging about! A satisfying sumptuous dinner after a day of hard work!

Pasta with mushroom tossed in Olive Oil and Herbs, Mussels in White Wine Cream Sauce, Cold Crab and Broccoli (just for the sake of fibre). And all of this accompanied by my favourite white wine!

Ok, so i went against my grandmother's wish and ate the crab. But well, i'll take it as a test. If nothing happens to me, i can officially have crab without worries anymore!

I'm uber happy the pasta turned out fine. My first time doing pasta in olive oil =)

Here's the recipe.

for 5 servings of pasta

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup button mushrooms, sliced
4 tablespoons of minced garlic
3 teaspoon dried basil
dried parsley

Heat olive oil with medium heat in a skillet. Add garlic and mushrooms. Sauteed mushrooms till soft. Add the basil and a generous amount of parsley. Stir to mix well and turn heat off. Toss pasta in the oil in the skillet and serve!

Basil is a strong herb so 3 teaspoon is enough, whereas you can have as much of the mild flavoured parsley as you like.

=)

Its a sign! ITS A SIGN!

That's what Sin Yee and I have been saying ever since bio ended.

Sin Yee, why did you bring your gc? Its a sign!

We finished our Math test at 5.37pm. Its a sign!

The library was so crowded we couldn't get seats. Its a sign!

You get the drift. Lol. Woke up today to hell. Insufficient sleep makes my brain hard to start up. I could only remember stuff starting from lunch onwards. The last few days was pretty torturous too. GP GP GP. Thank goodness for the break on Friday and Saturday Night.

Went to catch Rush Hour 3 with Ms Ho and Xin Mei. Was kinda disappointed with it, cause all the funny parts were shown in the trailer, which i've watched. Chan's nemesis keeps going on and on about brotherhood everytime they meet, which kinda irritated me. Doesn't this guy have anything more to talk about?! i also couldn't find chemistry between the characters of Chan and Tucker, probably because of the way the plot was written. The newspaper review was justified. Other than that, i guess the action was still worth paying for. Fighting atop the Eiffel Tower? Totally awesome.

Then it was dinner at Raffles City. Janice joined us at Sushi Tei, the much praised sushi joint by Tiffany and Janice herself. The selection there is defintely much better than Sakae's, but I was let down by the quality of the Maguro they served. The service was, hmm, 2.5 out of 5 stars. Dampening to the great ambience they had. I liked their assortment plate. Quite a value for money. Other than that, it was just another experience at a sushi restaurant.

The date with my parents on Saturday night was something i've been looking forward to the whole week! Dined at Chef Heng's, a Teochew Porridge House at Upper East Coast. The food was alright, though i found the price a lil' steep. Headed down to Timbre at Armenian Street after that. Had a Paradise, a cocktail mix of rum, apricot brandy and orange juice. We were there to catch the Djembe performance by Lila Drums.

The drummers were excellent with rhythm. I loved the second piece they played, where every one had a 'solo', which was accompanied by the same drumming rhythm in the background. Very professional, yet at the same time, they were wild just drumming away till their hands turned hot pink! Video-ed a segment of them performing so those interested can ask to see it. I must say their performance was fab-bu-lous!

Hmm.. kinda got carried away with elaborating all the exciting happenings that i forgot to state what i really wanted to blog about!

Read the Sunday Times if you havent. The articles in there, under Click, GenY and the news on aneroxic teens totally turns me off. And all this, has to do with societal judgment. The talk on aneroxic teens, and the kind of bullying they get at school, to me, is a product of bad upbringing, and/or the mix with wrong influence. Why does a girl have to resort dieting to such extent?! And there while reading the article i was munching away on an Apple Cheese sausage. The irony.

I always find myself talking to my peers about how bad the attitudes of the generations after us are. How pampered and how they always take things for granted. But, looking at the news featured lately, i can't help but think that our seniors and definitely even ourselves, aren't any better.

And its just going to get worse.

Fridays.

BAH! I can never study on fridays. Esp not if i'm at home. but i refused to believe that fact until today. =P

On Fridays the school library is always full of people, crowded and rowdy.

On Fridays i always feel the need to slack.

On Fridays i always dread the coming of Saturday, cause that means the continuation of the low-down, no-life mugging routine. Yucks!

I want my life back.

Sigh.
